Can a moderator of this list please
do some housekeeping? There are spam
posts and posters who need to be removed.
Thanks.

As an owner of several Yahoo groups, i've
noticed that the problem has been growing
lately. (no pun on penis extension intended)

Monz, Gene has been diligent in banning spam posters. I just deleted
the recent spam posts (including your own response to one).

Gene, I strongly suggest that you turn on the automatic moderation of
new members. If a new member's first post is spam only the moderators
see it and the member is banned. If a new member posts non-spam you
pass it through to the group and take them off moderation.

To turn this feature on, go to:
Management > Group Settings > Messages > Posting and Archives > Edit >
Posting Options > Moderation > New members > Save changes

I have a better idea: let's move the list to Google.

Now might be a good time to check in on the Poll about this...

It's 5:2 that we should move it.

.....

Aw, fuck. It'll display fixed-width by default, but there's
no compose-in-fixed-width capability at all.

Are there reasons to believe there is less spam to be expected at Google?

Google has the World's only non-broken statistical filter in an
end-user mail application. I trust them.

It's done. Thanks for telling me how.
