Source code update

I've packaged up the source code to my temperament finders. It's regular.zip in the files section of tuning-math because I still can't get at my website. Some new things:

- more efficient algorithms

- scalar complexity

- Scheme implementations

- very short Python implementation

You do all this, but you can't make a web site, and you've
lost all copies of the site you hosted for years? No offense
meant, but I find it surprising, and I feel a real sense of
loss re. your site.

I have backups, but they're all on CD-Rs at my parents' house in England. I did make a website but right after there was a change in the university's firewall (masked by the Taiwan earthquake) and I haven't been able to get an FTP passive mode connection since. This is despite moving to a different institution, so I'm guessing there's a policy to stop connections to foreign servers (or maybe both places have admins that are too incompetent to set a firewall correctly for FTP). Perhaps there's another problem in which case I'll sort it out next time I'm in a free country.

Important parts of the old site are at

http://x31eq.com

Yes, it's unfortunate I can't update it. Censorship sucks. I can still transfer to Yahoo Groups and that'll do for now.

Oh, that's not so bad then!

Why didn't you say so? That has most of what I was looking
for the other day.

Can you not point the domain to a host you can access?

I'll download from here, then.

I have mentioned it.

Yes, that's what I did the last time. There's no guarantee it'll keep working. And maybe it is my own firewall. There are entries in the log saying it's rejecting connections from my web server. I can't work out what to do about it right now so I'm going to bed.
