Harmonic entropy and kernel density

Quick question: Are the "harmonic entropy" graphs shown here:
http://sonic-arts.org/td/erlich/entropy.htm simply kernel density
plots of the set of possible intervals, or is there some subtle
difference?

I just learned about kernel density plots and now they're popping up everywhere.
