What I would suggest you do is the following:

Download midi rendering programs:

http://timidity.s11.xrea.com/index.en.html#down

http://www.synthfont.com/

Download some GM soundfonts:

http://www.midi-contest.com/index2.php

Then tell me what you've got and ask for advice installing. MMM is
probably the place to do all this.

OK, Gene, thanks. Disregard the PS i just put in a tuning list
post. I wonder why we're having trouble doing email?

I have some serious composing to do tonight and early Sunday,
so i'll download and install this stuff sometime on Sunday.
