Re Tuning Digest 861 and Georg Hajdu's post:

The synthesizer tuning of Manfred Stanhke's "Partch Harp" appears
to be audibly equivalent to the 14th root of 35/16. The 12th root of
1.9560685 is 96.795689 cents and the 14th root of 35/16 is 96.795687
cents to the precision of my hand calculator. It's no wonder that the
5/4 and 7/4 are closely approximated by this non-octaval tuning. The
interval 1.9560685/1 has 1161.54827 cents, about 30 31sts of a 2/1
(1 degree of 31-tet flat).
