Steel is Cool

I got a chance to check out a pedal steel player this weekend, and
man, this *is* one cool axe, and my mind was reeling with the micro
possibilities it presents.

I tried playing my 22tet guitar, which is tuned to an open minor
tetrad, "lap steel style", and I think I could get into it. It
certainly solves some of my problems with fingering ;-) I feel a bit
ashamed that until now I never really looked into it before.

Thank you, Bobby Lee, for drawing our attention to a most wonderful
instrument.

Actually, an error of 5.18 cents, in proportion to the stepsize of
approximately 38 cents in 31-TET, is actually a little better than the
15.64 cent error of the minor third in 12-TET relative to its stepsize
of 100 cents. The latter is a ratio of about 1/6, while the former is
closer to 1/7.
