Okay, try this:

Start a sequencer file with a standard tuning dump. Then, loop
an arpeggio. At one of the bars, insert another tuning dump to
do something very noticeable -- like tune everything up an octave.
See how fast you can get before the first (or second) note after
the dump doesn't get tuned in time, or there is an annoying glitch.

If there's no problem at any speed, try a fast chord sequence
instead, and saturate the MIDI stream with continuous controllers.
If there's still no problem, well ... there's no problem!

I'd guess the glitch will either be very noticeable, or completely
negligible. If the former, see what happens if you send a
meaningless SysEx of the same length.
