MIDI codes

So you want to generate MIDI sequences, but the MIDI standard is too
complicated, with all its 7-bit codes? I like to generate a txt file
(using C++) and feed it to Gunter Nagler's txt2midi utility. I have
written a program, now in _alpha_ testing, called xen2txt, which
transforms "xenfiles" into textfiles. All you really have to do is to
find how to calculate the MIDI pitch bends from your inputs. You can
decide to support JI, ET, non-octave, or any other tuning. Once your
program is written, it is easy to add a few lines of code to support
another class of tuning.
