Correction: 22 does articulate the syntonic comma (it's one degree of the
tuning), so triadic diatonic scales are problematic in 22. In 17 the syntonic
comma is not even well-defined, since 17 is not consistent within the
5-limit. Both 22 and 17 have perfectly fine "Pythagorean" diatonic scales,
though.
