Thanks for this reference, John! In the light of perspectives such as
Noam Chomsky's, however, I wonder whether working against fundamentalism
may be attacking the symptoms rather than the cause.

Not that it's a bad thing to oppose fundamentalism, of course. But it
will fade, I believe, only when the genuine injustices that feed it are
addressed.
