If one of George W.'s daughters was in New Orleans and couldn't get out when
the hurricane hit, he'd have moved hell and high waters to retrieve her.

Instead, there has been a lot of racist doggeral (e.g., looting versus
subsisting, screaming about rape, even direct accusations).

A living culture has been suspended, most likely destroyed by a lack of
leadership. The Feds wanted to be "asked" even as the Feds said "no thanks" to
other nations offering help. I heard this from their lips during the media
blitz.

One good thing, the media has liberated itself by not being embedded.

We lost the most musical of American cities because this administration chose
not to support what every expert had pinpointed. George W. took away the
necessary funds and fowarded them away for other purposes.

Still, all he had to do was get every bus company in the USA alerted and
there could have been a non-stop caravan.

I had the chance to play there once and I will never forget the experience.
