Absolutely fascinating. If there is one reoccuring image that has gone
throughout my entire life, it is of large waves. It isn't always a
compltely frightening thing, and I've had spectacular dreams of big
ones that were, in some end result, benign. But I continue to be
mesmerized by the awesome power of the titans.

There is a new surfing movie that has opened that documents the first
riders of the giant waves in Hawaii and elsewhere. These people look
like absolute specks on the wall of water, waves that could take out
bridges and whatnot. I've got to see this one...

Cheers,
Jon (who just had a great few hours in the Pacific a couple of days
ago, but - alas - with only about 10' surf!)
