There should be a category for "I don't know."

I mean, I've been thinking of forming an official agnostic sect. The
basic percept(s) would be "I do not yet fully understand the universe, and
I am not going to be arrogant and institutionalize a hypothesis I have
about it". In a sense, we would worship the Mystery.

The arrogance of some aspects of organized religion are obvious, but
then there are my atheist friends who say, "come on, don't be silly, you
don't REALLY think there's a god, do you?" Well, there's got to be SOME
answer to the question, so eloquently put when George Costanza thought he
had cancer on that one Sienfeld episode, "Why, why, why, why?!?!?" I
doubt that the answer lies with any organized religion as we know it, though.

Done correctly, I think this is precisely the spirit of good science....

OTOH, one might counter that *any* hypothesis about the universe is arrogant,
I view I do not share, being that many of the hypotheses are quite well
founded by the evidence.
