Wolfowitz was giving a speech for a Pro-Israel group, and mentioned
"Palestinian suffering", the mere mention of which was loudly booed.

Apparently, according to pro-Israel-ly forces, some suffering is more
equal than others.

There's extremism on both sides. But why don't you look at what each
side teaches its children about those on the other side. Then talk to
me about equality.

Like the article I just read in the New Yorker about a week ago.
Actually had to force myself to read it, painful as it was.
Harrowing. At this point, I frankly see no way out for the
Israel/Palestine conflict - even if they aren't the majority on
either side, the extrememists are so entrenched, and so absolutely
sure of their position (yes, as in they are on God's/Allah's side), I
can't see a change in the future. And both sides seem to be teaching
their children the darkest of ideologies.

Grim.

Jon
