Has this made the metatuning rounds yet?

Monz might be put off by the anti-motorcyclist bias. . .

nah, it's just Alan Blevins's (the author's)
own personal opinion, and he makes that clear.

i'm sure that i know many more motorcyclists than
he or his friends, and almost all of them are really
decent people. of course there are also dirtbags,
but that *is* a part of the motorcycling image, and
there are those who ride who like to act that way.

those of us who aren't dirtbags (like me, i hope)
put up with them anyway, because we are all united
in the brotherhood of motorcycling. if someone
doesn't understand, it's just because he/she doesn't
ride. ultimately, any real motorcyclist will tell
you that image is always less important than riding.

but by my reading of his essay, Blevins seems to
be unaware that Jay Leno himself is also an avid
motorcycle enthusiast:

http://www.roadfly.org/magazine/8/jay_leno_interview.1.html

(don't miss the bottom of the page, where Leno
speaks on this himself.)

-- which i think goes a long way towards explaining
why Kerry rode the motorcycle onto Leno's stage during
his appearance on The Tonight Show show last fall.
two fellow motorcycle brothers meeting on TV, no big deal.

anyway, i totally agree with Blevins. all my life
i have always voted for the person whom i thought
would be the best for the job, no matter how little
their chance of winning the election. but this time,
Bush must be booted from office at all costs.

i'm so cynical about the present ILLEGAL administration
that i think the "red alert" warning that "intelligence"
is convinced that there will be another terrorist attack
within the USA this summer, is simply a ploy to keep
us afraid and paranoid until the CIA creates another
"terrorist" attack around September or October, just
in time for Fuhrer Bush to declare a state of emergency
in which the November election must be suspended, thereby
ensuring that America retains his "benevolent" "leadership".

anyway, i hope i'm wrong about that, but i wouldn't
put it past this bunch of bozos. i totally agree with
Blevins that the fate of the world hangs on getting
Bush off to his ranch permanently in November. in
3 short years, this administration managed to undo
everything good that the USA has accomplished at home
and around the world in the past century: surplus-to-deficit,
the negation of the UN's world leadership, etc.

Chris,

Hadn't written directly on the Kerry site post, but thanks for that. I've shared it with a few other people as well.

Cheers,
Jon

I 100% agree with Monz in everything he says about Bush here, and
what Jon and Kyle said too.

A side note -- Dave Hess, sax player of my band Stretch, has been
Kerry's *bicycle* builder for many years. Recently, of course, he
shows up at Dave's shop with a cadre of Secret Service agents, though
in previous years he would make the visits alone. Anyway, he has a
lot of funny stories to tell, in case anyone comes to see us play and
would like to talk to him about it . . .
