I myself am by no means completely sold on the parecon idea, but, I think
that the idea of starting with some core universal human values . . .like
equity, solidarity, efficiency, diversity. . . and trying to envision a
society that is grown out of those values as much as possible, is one
that should be pursued.

There are values in capitalism that I think are good too: individualism,
competition (if friendly), personal responsibility, "get-off-of-your-ass,"
etc.
