Richard Clarke book

I took some time out from composing to read Richard Clarke's book
_Against All Enemies_ and I'm thoroughly glad I did.

Wow. What an indictment against the Bush administration. And this is
coming from not some "wacko" but the consummate insider techo-
bureaucrat who served under several administrations.

Unlike the portrayal of Clarke given by the recent character
assassinations by Bush and Co., the book is not really "all about
Buah" but about counter-terrorism over the last 30 years.

It just so happens that the Bush handling of the situation is the
most inept leading to, ultimately, Clarke's request to be reassigned
and, ultimately, leaving government...

But, it's clear, regarding terrorism that we're really up "shit's
creek" and Bush and his administration have been making it much worse
through a series of tactical errors.

Another "big one" is coming for sure, and because of Bush's failed
policies which *incite* terrorism they will keep coming and coming
for *several* generations now...

Joseph-

Sounds like a great read. I'll have to check it out.

BTW, I saw a disgusting interview with Pat Robertson on FOX (where else?)
today that made my stomach wrench.

These people are really, bona fide, psychotics.

Yep. And we are pathetic weasles if we don't do everything in our power to get them out of office. The world is in such bad shape that we can't sit around wringing our hands about it, but we have to do all we individually can to effect positive change.

The only person I don't think we can count on is Carl, but maybe he'll reap what he sows. Though I hope even Carl would see the light!

Cheers,
Jon
