You are quoting the gigantic fraud Aleister Crowley as a moral
authority? Why stop there? Maybe Charlie Manson could give you some
even better soundbites.

Just what do you know about Aliester. the comparison to Manson ( who i

I thought I already spelled that out. A charlatan like all his kind.
Anything based on the crap in the so-called Hebrew kabala is going to
be dark and demonic. I have known too many silly people who have got
sucked in by Crowley's silly lists of supposedly magical
correspondences, amulets and talismans. That whole Golden Dawn and
OTO thing was a gigantic fraud - self-deception on a grand scale by
fatuous nincompoops. Real knowledge requires hard work, not prancing
about with magic symbols and potions in thrall to the demon Ashteroth.

Manson was one of the people whom Crowley got to, even in death. His
combination of heroin, Crowley and LSD didn't do Sharon Tate much
good. It also destroyed the reputation of LSD and that was arguably
an even greater evil than slicing up Sharon.

It is dark and demonic if ones is inclined that way.

you must be referring to 777 . It a a multi dimentional poem
such correspondences have been the basis of poetry through the ages

I think that Crowley believe that the golden dawn was indeed a fraud and
hence did what he could to epose them and to undermine their explotation of
others . ne of the ways he did this was to publish their 'secret' works.
First he did this under their name and he was sued. Later he just bypassed
this by publishing this under his own. Yeats and Brussell were also members
by the way and Waite, the biggest fraud of all!
I can't think of anything harder than the very exercises he suggest. Try
doing one or making it past the first three or four direction. You forget he
was on the first expedition on to K2 mountain. If that is not hard work , i
don't know what is. The etremity of his excercises is beyond what very few
can endure. This is what seperates him from others on this alone if no only.

The goal of his methods are self discovery. His philosophy is directly
from William Blake. look at the Marriage of heaven and hell
Evil people are going to be evil and will always find someone to miss quote
to do what they would do anyway.
Look at Anton who headed the Chuch of Satan supposedly. he was a circus
performer and liked to do nothing more than play the organ. i think he was
far more into the category in which you speak. a great comic though as his
videos show

You might as well blame Nietzche for Hitler. ( possibly easier to do).
Crowley's herion problem was caused by it being prescribed by a doctor back
in the days when such things were done.
Mansion single handedly destroyed the whole hippie movement along with LSD
exploration. Possibly he did the same with Aliester Crowley but i bet he
never did more than skim a book or two, his ego was too big to accept he
could actually learn something from others . The drug connection to a whole
slew of hollywood stars was covered up and in the tate house a list was
given as to who would be next. I know cause i know someone who was warned
they were on the list days after the murder.
let us not forget that the Beach Boys recorded one of charlies songs
'Summer'.

Let us look at real evil. Clinton who refused to ban landmines ( made by
honeywell BTW) which maim so many children around the world. His last day he
releases a cocaine dealer and lets L. Peltier (innocent by even FBI's own
evidence) rot in jail as he nears death.

Kraig

Perhaps my opinions on Crowley seem unfair but they are based upon
those I have known who espouse his writings. Such people seem
invariably to be astrologers, tarot artists, crystal gazers and other
junk religionists.

Don't think I single out only such religions for criticism. The
world's greatest junk religion is Judaism and its derivatives are
responsible for most of the world's suffering.

The only meaningful combination of the concepts of 'religion'
and 'freedom' is FREEDOM FROM RELIGION. All the US population's
delusions about being 'free' are just so much hokey. Until it frees
itself from the chains of such psychotic irrationality, the fruitcake
gene carried to the Americas by Cotton Mather, it will be ripe for
any right-wing fascist takeover. But hey - that already happened,
didn't it?

Hi Peter!

he starts one of his books with the quote
'Divination is like a blind man trying to gain sight by becoming Blind
Drunk'.

I will admit that he attracks the worse, but some of the best too.
fortunately i was introdiuced to him by one of the latter.
not that i have much use for him now.
