isn't this second hand, one-case annecdotal, fraction of a conversation,
rather worlthless?

Unfortunately, countries of the past that did not have military no longer
exist. Now, all of them do. Is Switzerland as evil as North Korea? By the
military standard, Switzerland has one of the largest military of Europe.

More to the point, if every country is evil because every country has a
military, what is the use of the word "evil"?
