Easy way to make a Stronger Statement.

Friends,

Over the year you may have signed online petitions, filled in your
name on various sites (such as MoveOn.org, TruMajority, etc. etc.) that
sent free e-mails, faxes or whatever to the appropriate political
entities about various issues.

This is all very cool, but once in a while one would like to make
a stronger statement by sending good old-fashioned SNAIL mail to one's
congressman, Senators, etc.

Normally, snail-mail would take a while to prepare, but I've set
up a little app that will make it very quick and easy for you/us.
Basically, I put your name and address in a database, along with the
name/address of your political representatives, and then whenever a
statement to send out is posted on the site, you just go there, modify
the statement if you like (or not), type in a quick codename, click on
who you want to send it to, and my app will generate a fully formatted,
ready-to-print text file which you can load into Word or some other word
processor, print out and send. It'll have your return address, the
destination address, greeting, etc., on a separate letter for each
destination (senator1, senator2, rep, president, etc). It also generates
a little mailing label sheet so you don't have to get tendonitus writing
that stuff on the envelopes.

You can check it out at this URL:

In order for it to work for you, send me your name, address, and
the names (and addresses if you have time) of your Rep and Senators, and
I'll enter you in the database, and send you a codename. (If you're a
couple, I'll enter the two of you separately; you both have a vote--so
why not send separate letters?)

I've tested it with several people, and I think the thing's
working----but we'll never know til we start running it en masse.

Anyway, thank you, and I hope we can use this in the future,

C Bailey
