Lately I've been seeing this commercial for an interview with the Dixie
Chicks, with Diane Sawyer, on ABC. The commercial automatically portrays
the Dixie Chicks as having been wrong for their infamous statements, as if
the only question is, "should we forgive them?" On the commercial, Diane
asks, "15 words. Why did you say them?"

This is wrong! They had every right to say them! Let's write/call ABC and
show them that there is a substantial number of people out there who
applaude their words, or at least, their right to say them.

Dissent is the fabric of a free society! Keep it alive!

It's quick and easy:

Here's the blurb I stuck in their box. Please modify/rewrite and send:

This is wrong! They had every right to say them! We live in a free
society. Dissent, debate and argument about sensitive issues like war is
the essential life-blood of this society.

Yet, nowhere did I hear mentioned on the commercial that some people in
this country happen to agree with the Dixie Chicks' sentiments, or at the
very least, their right to air them.
