it's not a myth right now with the radios most people own. so for the
forseeable future, clear channel will control what most people hear.
not to mention their control over live music, which is absolutely
outrageous right now.

It's up to people not to support Clear Channel. When I
listen to the radio, except for news, I'm listening to independent
stations. WKCR (Columbia U.), WNYC.ORG, or WFMU.

The same concept goes for live music. I don't think
they'd have anything to do with the kind of music I listen to.

i'm trying to get gigs with my band and some of us are trying to make
a living as performing musicians. this is made incredibly more
difficult in the clear channel era.

Where do you see that?

His son is chairman of the FCC, according to Lessig.

By the way, Bush may or may not be an idiot. I'm guessing not,
since he's President of the United States -- his goals are
probably just not what you think they are. Either way, allowing
yourself to judge a person you've never met (I assume) is a bit
out there, no?

But not in politics. It's OKAY to do it then. Let it all out.
Feel better?
