if you like this piece, you really should try out
the one he wrote just before it: the _String Trio_,
op 45.

this is the piece wherein he portrayed his own
temporary death. he was revived by direct injections
into his heart, and he even depicts these in
the piece.

i consider Schoneberg's _String Trio_ to be *the*
masterpiece of 12edo serialism!
