Most of you have seen the TIA page: http://www.darpa.mil/iao/

But this one is even stranger. The .gif that the patent office is using is downright spooky. And they must be serious!

A red white and blue eyeball looking through your bedroom keyhole.

If the web site didn't end in .gov, I would say it was a joke.

That's the sort of thing I'm used to seeing on Saturday Night Live.

Should we be scared or amused? Probably both, but maybe favor the amused
side - -this stuff is getting so ridiculous it's time for some serious
mocking of our elected and appointed officials as they are making clowns of
themselves along their cherished path towards despotism.

Makes one think that not Tom Ridge but The Residents are in charge!

Funny; I just bought my first Residents album last
night, and I got the one with the chaps with eyeballs
for heads on the cover.
