Wilco

meta gang,

Anybody else around here like Wilco? I've loved their latest cd, and just saw them last Thursday. Wonderful, heartfelt, and creative music.

To me, at least.

haven't heard them, but:

back in '93 or '94, Uncle Tupelo (which later split up to form two
bands, Wilco and Son Volt) was brought from a gig at toad's place in
new haven to the dorm room i happened to be hanging out in (jamming
along with a lenny kravitz cd, iirc). they were given the prize couch
seats and treated like royalty, in particular being offered (and
partaking in) large quantities of an illegal smokable substance. i
recall them saying "yale is cool" or some such . . .

oh well, i guess i didn't really have anything to say . . . pass the
pipe . . . :)
