Kraig already noted that Inglewood is east of the
LAX airport. but just so that no-one thinks it's
some small "outlying" area: Inglewood is right
smack dab in the middle of the LA megalopolis,
actually not very far from the main locus of the
1992 riots.

Okay, Inglewood is in the culture of LAPD, even if it is technically run by a
different command structure. Is LAPD still macho about bashing?

The climate has certainly changed out east. We're getting along better than

Hello Johnny!
I think the difference is that in a city like NY you have cops on the street
which puts the interaction more on a human level . In LA they are in cars or
worse , on motorcycles. They don't really need to interact on a friendly level,
in a starbucks they might , but not out on the road. But then no one is human to
anyone else on the road here :-)
