Yeah, quite honestly, I don't think this is a good poster-case for police
brutality. It's just gonna backfire, because the police will be found not
to have done much wrong.

It's a shame, because there are, no doubt, many legitimate cases of police
abuse and corruption, and now this lame, half-ass situation comes up and
gets all of the media blitz. And in the end, people are just not going to
buy it, and nothing will change. There might even be a "see, the police
aren't so bad" backlash.
