French Vibe

Absolutely. Racism isn't really part of french culture
as far as I have seen. They do feel their culture is a
good one and they like it and are proud of their
heritage and values but I have never gotten the least
vibe of racism from any French person I have known.
They are also very big on multiculturalism and it seems
a wide variety of people are accepted in France where
people are all people are viewed quite equally in
value. Oh, there is one exception -- many French don't
like gypsies, but that is because the gypsies there are
notorious pickpockets.

I agree - Lutetia/Paris has been a place for people of
all races and cultures to meet and share ideas for a
LONG time.

Anyway, I would be really surprised if the support for
Jean-Marie comes from a dark place for most voters.

so that's justified?

in france it's more the young hooligans you have to look out for if
you're a member of an ethnic minority group. in spain it's more the
law enforcement officers:
