Do you think that they don't blow themselves up,

or that their family doesn't get the $25k?

or that the reward money is not part of the
motivation?

I recall that the average income there is quite low -
was just looking at it at the WorldBank site - was it
$1500 annual per capita income? So 25k from Saddam and
10k from SA and 5k from who knows who else could amount
to $40k - possibly a *lifetime's* income. Couple that
with life that is miserable living under a fascist
regime where there are few freedoms and daily
saturation of hate news directed at 'the enemy' and
toss in a promise of glory and eternal bliss and
approval by a divinity, and for a lot of young people
there isn't much else to look forward to other than
ritual suicide.
