Marriage is indissoluble... it doesn't make any sense to talk about the
'imposition' of human law, because it should reflect and protect natural and
divine law."

I'm perfectly willing to give the old boy his due in matters of divine law
for practicing Catholics. I'm not one, but I was raised to be, Hee!

And he's entitled to his opinions about human law and natural law, too, I
just don't see that much resemblance in them to "divine" law. Not in any
mirror made of glass.

I prefer the term "cosmic law", which there is no "real" punishment for
breaking, as far as we know.

Is it more to the point that 'marriage' is a vestigial irrelevancy?

Cheers!
