If the tuning-math list had not existed, it would have gotten even worse--or better, depending on your point of view.

With the exception of MakeMicroMusic, and occassional flareups
on harmonic_entropy, all of the other tuning lists have been
very quiet for the past few months.

But tuning-math seems to be running neck-and-neck with the
original tuning list in volume. I for one am glad that
all the heavy math has a home of its own. If all the
other lists eventually perish or go into indefinite dormancy,
I hope we can keep tuning-math alive!

The folks on the big list who don't want to get tons of
esoteric technical email are also glad that the tuning
list now has a bit of a lower volume and more general
interest.
