Did I miss something? Where was the stereotyping? Are
you suggesting that a person who comments on two events
in a single country is engaging in a form of racism?
Not sure where you are headed with this one unless it's
try to play the stereotype/race issue... ?

No, that's not it. It's totally obvious there was no
racist component to the remarks. You're just trolling.

Eh, whatever, Paul...

Never mind.
Have a nice day.

Maybe Paul has relatives from Belgium.

Thanks David,

Hadn't considered that there might be special
circumstances making this a sensitive topic. Paul, I am
positive that Neil had no intention to disparage a
given nationality or race -- he was just contributing
some things he was aware of that have happened in
Belgium that are unusual. He did not say Belgians are
in general less than human or worse than other people
in general and did not even come close to implying it.

So take a deep breath and calm down a bit there big
fella. :-)

I'm perfectly willing to believe that I totally misread Neil's
comments and reacted badly. But I wonder, what was the relevance of
the alleged Satanist pedophilia ring to the topic we were discussing?
Why did Neil bring that up? I'm at a loss.

I understood the commonality to be 'strange news from
Belgium with possible Satanic implications.'

OK -- now why does a universal ID system bring up Satanism in your
mind? Simply because it's evil?

When I think of Belgium, I don't think of Satan or sex with childern.

I think of waffles.

Want to clear this up Haverstick?

Sheesh: I just think of great Belgian beers I've had; they're not
just for breakfast anymore...

Cheers,
Jon

A few years ago the National Lampoon ran an article blaming all the
world's problems on the Dutch. Come to think of it, the Belgians could
have easily conspired with the Dutch, given their unguarded
border.....
