science takes what you do and then proves it is a universal

Here is a great example of all the scientific proof you are all looking for and base everything on
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/03/110325102008.htm
scala represents the whole world!!!!!!!!!!
you use PB so the whole world uses PB!

this is real science in action!

I am displeased!

the lack of credit to the PB concept is the worse part

We were talking about it before on tuning-math, and also on Facebook:
in the paper, they actually mention Fokker periodicity blocks, and
apparently cite Paul as well. Not sure if they cite Erv Wilson, but
they use one of his scales an example. I'm not sure that "convexity"
actually means a PB, or if it just means that all of the ratios tend
to cluster around the origin of the lattice. If it's the latter,
that's... pretty obvious.

The problem is , we know this is an interest on the tuning list a priori.
Lattices are mutable too in that say you wanted to make a scale that didn't fit into a simple lattice, chances are once your are done, you can just relabel the factors and , wha la it is all a simple lattice again.
the assumption that all scales world wide are harmonically base is misguided.
But we would have to agree what is meant by harmony in the first place.

For me though, i assume that this type of thing happens in science all the time, just that we don't have the first hand knowledge to see it.

Since the authors make so much use of Euler's work, I thought the most egregious omission was failing to remark that a number of the scales in question were Euler genuses (generi?)

And also on nonoctave. It's a game anyone can play!

PB ==> convex.
