annoying fire-spamming people on the 'net

(referring to dicussion of fire-spammers on MAkeMicroMusic).

It used to be sort of amusing with McLaren (what's he up to?)

But now these people are just annoying. What would they have done with their free time back in the '80s, I wonder?

And whatever happened to Paul Erlich?

maybe just a coincidence, but after ozan exchange here, he seems to drop off the list.

i have not been following the stuff on the tuning list over the Bill.
But wish to state that being Anti-Zionist is not necessarily the same thing as being anti-Jewish.
I think the individual, who has occured on other list is more harmless than someone who when they realize that they are in trouble, hides what they are really thinking.
The latter i find and assume would be more likely to do action.
i have mentioned on this list before, which seems to have fallen on deaf ears, that after this exchange i had a fire started out of the blue at the bottom of my property which consumed the bottom third of my hill. I discovered the fire by the sound offalling debris on my roof wasa so loud i thought something was raining from a plane.
i did find in the bushes afterwards a shirt partially burned liek you find worn by gasoline attendents or people who work in car shops. the name on the tag was Amir. Probably the cause was random or even kids, but i remain wary. It is probably unfortunate that these sets of coincidences has tainted my view of the person in question. But who of us would not wonder. How can i be sure 100%.

Bill's homeless and may be sufferring from a mental
disorder (like bipolar disorder). Either that, or I think
he's trolling. I don't think he's anti-Jewish.

I never read that (I've been off metatuning for a while) until
last week on the tuning list. Which exchange are you talking
about -- was it here? Which individual?

Is he anywhere near LA?

Bill did mention on a couple occasions that he was homeless, and
almost always does his posting and research at public facilities
(mostly university libraries, it seems). Beyond that is conjecture. He
does seem to have a thing about starting up groups - do a search on
Yahoo groups for his name and you'll come up with a whole bunch of
near-zero-populated discussion groups he's started.

He told us he's homeless. Homeless people frequently
have mental disorders, often for nutritional reasons.
Bill's disappear/reappear cycle and creation of groups
faster than he can keep track of them are would be
characteristic of mood swings.

His recent posts definitely seem to have a sense of
humor (Xylophones?), and are perhaps a jab at our requets
to make him stop advertising new lists. Other than
the titles of these lists, he's never said anything
even vaguely racist (that I've seen).

Thank you for even pursuing this as since i have mentioned more than once i take the lack of response about troubling. thank you David for clearing up Paul absence, anything that can be shed to put like on the subject helps all parties concerned.
i don't really want to mention the individual by name and i hope no one else will.
i want to clear it up, not cast blame. but if only a few elements are disposed with this would make it dissipate quicker out of something that might just be coincidence. But maybe not.
It is a 14 months now and it isn't going away.i recognize the problem it would cause for the other, but everyone must take responsibility for their words.
i have made mistakes more than once and took the consequences and don't expect any less from any one else.
i am doing this in the spirit of fight 'with' as opposed to fighting 'against'.

t o have 50 foot flames in less than 25 yards from your house going up to the top of the Palm trees here, is traumatic and serious. and anyone who thinks i just need to 'put it our of my mind' is nothing more than oppressive or possibly an enabler.
the fire investigators, in the little time they put into it said they did not and could not tell how the first started. At the time i said nothing

If not, should he have been removed. does this help him?
the greeks would always treat the mentally ill with the upmost kindness.
The history of their treatment has gone from the worse in history as has been well documented. the book-madness and civilization

it is a stretch on my part to take it that far in my mind, but i hope those might understand why by the coincidence of the factors, it remains as a possibility.
part ofthe exchangehappen offlist as i wanted to at least work out some understanding with the individual, but i thought it occured here, i might be mistaken, but don't think so.
ican't seem to gothrough the archives ofthislist to track it down.
i amnot very good at it.

I was on these lists 14 months ago, I think, and I do not
remember any incident. Paul and I are in touch sporadically.
He quit because he recognized the lists as an addiction and
wanted to spend more time playing music. You can check
him, and his band Stretch, out on Myspace. Paul doesn't have
the constitution to light fires on anyone's property, I
shouldn't think. It sounds like your fire was gang or
just kids-playing-with-fire related. I think however if
you're bringing this up you should in fact mention names.
Else I can't see the point in discussing it here.

there was nothing pointed toward kids, the cause of the fire would have been easier to trace.
they were quite mystified.
Also i am friends with most if not all these parties and still remain on good terms with them. there is an agreement we leave each other alone.
They have come to my defense in the past

should be banned from the lists. Fire or no.

it happened on this list and to add to the confusion about it not being kids, was the shirt stuffed in my bushes, too large for a small person with the name Amir on the sleeve. It is a bit much
probably another coincidence. but i hope i am at least understood in my concern over this.
