I have a new co-worker. He came from Egypt.
I think I have a better idea why, after seeing this
video. I can not vouch for the video. It seems
genuine however. This is NOT easy at all to watch,
and might be best skipped.

Egypt receives a significant amount of U.S. tax dollars, yearly.

Several local and international human rights organizations,
including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, have
reported on Egypt's poor human rights record for many years. In
2005, the government of President Hosni Mubarak faced unprecedented
public criticism when it clamped down on democracy activists
challenging his rule. Some of the most serious human rights
violations according to HRW's 2006 report on Egypt are routine
torture, arbitrary detentions and trials before military and state
security courts.[17]
