Check out Christine Harris, who put Bush in the white house. UNBELIEVEABLE!

UNBELIEVEABLE!

Yeah, but you might want to get the name right: Katherine Harris. Yet
another person who thinks their particular God has all the answers.
Sounds like her idea of governance isn't much different from sharia
laws. Fortunately, it seems like she's alienated so many people, even
from her own party, that she doesn't stand a chance of holding office.

Stranger things have happened, though. I predict after the election
she'll either become a pundit on CBN or a spokesmodel for Mary Kay
Cosmetics.

Cheers,
Jon

Jon, surely you see the pun on calling her "Christ"ine?

Besides, why correct obvious mispellings?

Johnny,

Hmmm, maybe this is more serious than I thought!

No, actually I didn't. I do now, but I find it a bit beneath you!

> Besides, why correct obvious mispellings?

Uh, because it wasn't obvious? People mistype all the time. OTOH, I
don't think you'd be laughing about someone mentioning Jewseph
Lieberman's recent political tribulations.

People can get so sensitive about virtually anything these days, that
I can't rely anymore on an innate ability to know - for certain - if
something is in jest or not. I'd just suggest that this was so subtle
- and only clear after you pointed it out - that it never dawned on me
you were changing her name on purpose.

All of our dialogue pales, of course, next to the sheer lunacy of her
beliefs...

Cheers,
Jon

I didn' change her name on purpose. Chalk it up to a subconcious thread.

On the other hand, what's with you and Lieberman? Now, this may be serious!

That wasn't clear - when you said pun, you didn't say "unintentional
pun". Naturally, I'm sorry there was any confusion at all, but we
aren't mind-readers! :)

NP, I've seen it happen a lot, and I've had a few myself.

Nope, just that when I *thought* the pun was on purpose, I thought I'd
try one in the other direction to show how the Harris one might have,
could have, offended a Christian.

As always, had this happened face-to-face, _nothing_ would have
happened! Typing is a terrible way to communicate sometimes...

Cheers,
Jon
