Reuters Drops Photographer Who Faked Israeli Bomb Results

(IsraelNN.com) Reuters News Agency has announced it is cutting from its
payroll a freelance photographer who altered a photograph that showed
that the results of an Israeli bombing were far worse than in reality.

An American news site caught the fake when it noticed that the billows
of smoke in the photo showed a repetitious pattern. However, the news
agency said that the photographer, Adnan Hajj, said the image was
changed after he tried "to remove dust marks and that he made mistakes
due to the bad lighting conditions he was working under."

Hajj also photographed images of a dead child in the explosion in the
village of Kana last week. Several private web sites have questioned
the veracity of the pictures.

Notice the distictive building in both photos (10 o'clock
near center). Bottom photo is supposedly several days later.

One photo July 24th
One photo August 5th.

The LATER photo says the building was destroyed "overnight".

This is for anyone you know that says there is no
evidence Hezbollah (and groups like them) uses
images of dead childern for propaganda.

The German magazine ZAPP has a video of Green Helmet, whose name has
been revealed as Salam Daher, taken in Qana when it was bombed ten
years ago. He oversees a dead boy being put into an ambulance. The
sequence is not good enough. He gives stage directions. The boy is
taken out again, transferred pointlessly to another stretcher, put
back in the ambulance. Daher makes sure there is a clear field of
view for the camera and the blanket over the boy is pulled back so
that his face can be seen.
