Theme and Variations from The Madwoman of Chaillot... This piece was
written in October of 2005 for the Artistic Home's production of The
Madwoman of Chaillot. It consists of a theme and four variations for
accordian and piano. The theme itself is in a Parisian cafe style. The
variations are odes to various composers-- variation 1 is a
Rossini-style tarantella, variation 2 is a broad classically styled
texture with a seriousness a-la-Beethoven, variation 3 is a canonic
ode to Bach with some jazzy swing rhythms, and finally, a blitzkrieg
presto which takes it's inspiration from a Chopin prelude. The theme
is heard again at the end.

Enjoy!
Aaron.

Hey Aaron,

That is just flat-out outstanding. That theatre company is damn lucky
to have your talents, and if you get canned, you can always ring up
Cirque du Soleil. I guess the only thing that keeps me from walking
off a short pier right now is that you didn't record that in real time!

And if you did, would you mind keeping it to yourself? :)

Bravobravobravo.

Cheers,
Jon

P.S. I hate to see this get buried here in meta - why don't you throw
it into a meantone or something and post it at MMM??
