A while back, monz recommended the band Sleeping People.
I was very encouraged by the samples on their site, so I
ordered a copy of their album from Amazon. Amazon finally
decided they can't get it, so I went in search of a copy
on my own. Found they're on this label:

Whoa, musical goldmine here. All their samples are
apparently on one page here:

'Blue Fly Green Fly' and 'Nasty Portion'
Temporaryresidence seems to have 'Blue Fly Green Fly' only.
People that liked 'Blue Fly Green Fly' might
like a new link to symphonyx.

This website also has the "photos" of the band members:
http://www.sleepingpeople.com/3-people.htm
if you click on each bust, you can see a very modified
photo of each band member. at least i recognize the one
of drummer Brandon Relf:

BTW, i was just jamming on an improv at the Sonic Arts Gallery
not even an hour ago, with Brink, Jonathan Glasier, Bill Wesley,
and Brandon.

Really! What's his connection to Sonic Arts?

Brandon's day-gig is working behind the counter at
Grant's Deli, right next door.
When the deli closes, if he doesn't have a gig with the band,
he usually stops in at Sonic Arts, has a beer with whoever's
there, and does a little jamming.
That's how i know him, and about Sleeping People. He also
plays drums for another local band called Goblin Cock.

Well, I just dumped $100 on Temporary Residence CDs, including
Sleeping People, which again, I think is really impressive.
Nobody from the band should be working in a deli (unless they're
really into it... sandwichmaking is something of an art...).

Heh, heh, Goblin Cock...
