Bob Brown has left us...

Some of you may know of Bob Brown, who really brought a lot of notice
to music of other cultures to those in the West. He passed away about
a week ago (I just found out); I've noted, for those of you not so
familiar, his page on Wikipedia:

For myself, his Nonesuch gamalan LPs were my first introduction to the
incredible music of Bali and Java. A good guy gone.

vol. 2 of that series, also recorded by him is still one of my all time favorite javanese recordings.
My first thought being that this would be perfect music to listen to while dying, really
