Ot--father /son collab

Tonight I decided to start a little collaborative project with my
son Bryan--basically I just turned him loose on my drawings and
paintings with his camera .This is really just the tip of the
iceberg, but I think the results are very promising . Something I
should mention too, is that Bryan's 11 years old and he's been at
this for two years and he takes a looooot of photographs. I really
think he is quite impressively inventive for so young a guy in the
ways he finds to choose and (especially) alter his images in real-
time, but I guess he also benefits from having a father like me--
i.e., someone who's involved in art ,creativity etc--to help him
pick and choose a bit what to present. It's a tough balance , trying
to give someone some direction and freedom , but mostly I try to
stay out of his way, let him have fun and see where it goes. These
photos ,as I said , were photos of my drawings and paintings , and
up until I switched my imagination over to noise , it was always
scribbling... so I've got lots of it around, and I think it's an
excellent fodder for Bryan's photos at this point where it's kind of
like a color explosion .

If I ever produce a physical product (CD, whatever) of my music, I
know where to go for the cover art! Fun stuff, and (as you would
imagine) I'm so stoked to see the relationship bloom between you and
Bryan...
