Let us roll

President Bush ended his speech on "homeland security" tonight with
the words of one of the brave passengers on the airline which went
down in the aborted attempt near Washington: "Let's roll..."

However, Peter Jennings in his reporting tonight changed the
contraction, so rather than "let's roll" it became "let us roll."

Somehow that contraction made a big difference:

"Let us roll??"
