Note -- this isn't the same sonic weapon that was
dissussed here recently.

I posted on this particular technology a couple years ago, as I
believe it was developed by a research firm here in San Diego. The
point, anyhow, was simply that sound is now being used as a weapon by
non-military entities. Though I guess you could say that about rock
and roll in general... :)
