Well, my first piece using the z3ta+ softsynth and Sonar, _Inner
Voices_ is now online:

It's the second piece on the page.

Without a doubt, this synth has been one of the most enjoyable
experiences I have ever had in music! And Sonar adds to this
experience. It seems that all tunings and all timbres are possible,
as well as all structures, limited only by the imagination.

The scale is Blackjack. I'm hoping to create a version with live
percussion for this piece next.

Enjoy! (Hopefully!)

All comments of whatever nature (yes that means *bad* ones too! :)
are gratefully encouraged and appreciated!!!

Joseph,

This was a fun piece. At times it sounded almost like a "creature-feature"
late 1950's early 1960's sci-fi soundtrack, in a kitschy-fun kind of way,
although using more technology than those soundtrack writers had, for sure!

I noticed "timing probems", but I don't know, were they deliberate. I can't
imagine that you wouldn't notice them, so I assume they were, like you were
going for a very 'loose effect'.

Best,
Aaron.

i kinda liked the slowing down effect as it reminded me of such things in indonesian music. Feldman was always writin g such things out too. If there would have beeen a dance club in 'Alphaville" this is what might have been playing.

***Hi Aaron,

Thanks for listening! Yes, I wasn't so didactic about the timing.
One of the reasons was the fact that the patch with the voices
actually had its own internal sweep and timing, and wouldn't sync
with the rest anyway. So, it all had to be somewhat loose.

The live percussion will, of course, be written out, but I'll still
keep the electronic part pretty loose, specified in seconds, or
quarter note equal to 60 for the most part...

Thanks again!

Joseph
