Sound in Java 6

Dear MakeMicroMusic members,

while browsing the java.net community website, I became aware that an expert group about the Java Sound application programming interface is in formation. Many planned changes concern the MIDI packages within the Java language; the specific goals are to be determined through group activity.

This is an opportunity to get microtonality integrated into the Java platform!
