Reading suggestions in this group that more co-operation could be encouraged between list members; has made me realise that I do have something which may assist other microtonalists.

Now that I have set up my Mac systems with Logic Pro 7, Melodyne etc. to be able to fairly routinely produce LucyTuned recordings from midi files; it seems that this could be useful to others
who have yet to be able to realise their midi ideas as good .wav . .mp3, ogg, or .aif renditions.

As I have little idea of what response I may get from the subscribers to this group, I propose the following offer:

I shall produce .aif or .wav files of one piece (max (5) five minutes) for each of the first (5) five persons to send me midifiles that they want produced as LucyTuned .aif or .wav audio productions.

I shall make no claim on the copyright of the finished pieces (unless it's a piece for which I already the rights ;-), and initially will send the audio output only to the email address from which I have received the midi file.

There will be no charge for this work, nor do I accept any obligation to complete it to the senders' satisfaction.

The midifiles shall not be passed to any other parties without the senders' specific consent.
i.e. confidentiality, privacy for senders.

Format for midifiles to be submitted.

1) The midifiles should contain no pitchbend data.
2) If possible the sender should specify what instrument(s) are to be used for each midi channel.
3) The tuning desired should be specified in LucyTuning terms i.e. e.g. C=C; C#=C#; D=D; D#=Eb; E=E; F=E#; F#=F#; G=Fx; G#=Ab; A=A; A#=Bb; B=Cb
4) If more than 12 twelve different notes per octave are required; I shall also need to know the appropriate notenames, and for which bars or SMTP times these secondary tunings should be applied.
(Other tunings on separate midi channels would be helpful.)
5) Any associated monophonic audio files (e.g. vocals or other solo acoustic instruments) can also be "pitch-corrected" within fairly strict limitations, using Melodyne or Logic Pro 7.
6) Details of how I intend to produce the microtunings can be found at:

Please address your midifiles and/or emails to:

I shall be interested to see what response I get;-)
