I listen to a lot of Podcasts, since I'm a serial podcaster myself. I recently heard a wonderful microtonal bell piece by John Maxwell Hobbs on Cinema Volta, at http://www.cinemavolta.com/daily/ . The one from 2/17 was microtonal: http://homepage.mac.com/john.maxwell.hobbs/dailyambience/Cinema.Volta.2005-02-17.mp3

He wrote to say the following:
--------------------------------------------------------------
This was just a standard scale, tweaked a little bit. The adjustments are:

0
+11.7
+3.9
+15.6
-13.7
-2
-9.8
+2
+13.7
-15.6
+17.6
-11.7

As you can see, pretty standard.

Take a look at http://www.cinemavolta.com/psoup.html it's an online instrument and the tuning is just there as well.

I'll join the group on Yahoo right away.
------------------------------------------------------------
He's probably lurking out there right now.... He is creating a new piece every day. None of this ten minutes a day stuff...

Thanks, Prent. Looking forward to hearing the piece (probably tomorrow, when I have my fast connection at the office), and I have subscribed to his site. There are lots of podcasting sites, but so few that actually have interesting music (at least from an MMM perspective).

What about you -- do you have some more stuff coming down the pipeline?
