Hi, there, Aaron and all, and I'm still trying to catch up with all that's
been going on here.

Anyway, I wanted to say briefly that your _Invocation_ had a kind of early
20th-century European flavor, while _Lament_ somehow reminded me a bit of
Aaron Copland.

If I had a score, I might try to inquire into which steps sounded "modern
classical" or "different." An interesting point is that you very nicely
exploit the fifths or fourths in these scales, although these ratios (at
least at or in the near vicinity of 3:2 and 4:3) are not so abundant as in
some other JI and tempered systems (this is common of octave divisions
into a single arithmetic or subharmonic series).

The point I'd made is that the tuning interacts in a fascinating way with
your own stylistic integrity and creativity, and you've made these
felicitous matches in a variety of tuning systems.

Most appreciatively,

Margo
