Winter Dance

....an 1'48" improvisation I did on Dec. 12th, which I finally got around to
doing a nice harpsichord soundfont rendition of (the original Korg X5DR
harpsichord patch I recorded the MIDI sequence of was not as nice *by far*)

The tuning is golden meantone tuning, with a fifth size of 696.214 cents, and
the diatonic and chromatic semitones are in a ratio of phi (1.618....) This
scale can be thought of as the limit of approximations by a Fibonacci
sequence of "meantone" equal temperaments (19,31,50,81,131,212,343,etc.). So,
for real world purposes, 343-edo is good enough to get the fifth size (which
would be 696.210). You get the picture.

Enjoy, all comments and questions welcome. Again, for sonics, the ogg has less
annoying upper frequency artifacts. Butyou might want to put this on your
IPods, so.... ;)

this is actually quite developed for an improv as it goes from section to section pretty smoothly. quite fun . elusive but still a bit in your face. i listened to the ogg version
