Check out "I stand hopeless before the gray sea". It's like quasi-11-
limit film noir/slow surf rock, with my usual decimated drums. I
think it's one of the most consistent xenharmonic pieces I've done
yet. Makes much use of suspended neutral 2nd chords and 31-tet's
11/8 and 16/11 approximations for some beat-iful contrasts to the
solid subminor/harmonic 7th tonic chord. Please give comments,
impressions, criticisms, etc.

Hi Igliashon,

Cool piece, I like the pensive mood, and I always like it when there's time for the intervals to soak in. This one would have really benefited from some kind of hand drum, IMO, such as a dumbek.

Wow...nice guitar sound, and I like the way the mellow yet xenharmonic "sweet
beach electric guitar" floats over the insistent drumming loops. The guitar
playing is tastefully sensitive and evocative as well. Keep 'em coming, Ig!

This piece really put me in a pleasant space.

very subtle and like it leaning toward understatement. i would have like to have heard it in the "Man who fell to earth" when David was kicked out in a chair in the ward. i can imagine Satie if he played guitar playin like this , droppin one of the more advenuresome chord just when they thought it was safe, not to listen

I thought this was really beautiful and evocative. Your musicianship
and creativity shines through the gloom, and I can't wait to hear
more music of this caliber -- particularly longer, more structured
pieces. But this piece would be absolutely perfect as is behind an
appropriate film scene. For tuning mavens, the mode Igliashon used
here has step sizes of

4-3-4-3-4-3-4-3-3

in 31-equal, giving the notes

0-4-7-11-14-18-21-25-28(-31)

I particularly enjoyed this piece because I play guitar -- including
31-equal guitar -- but I hear simple, beautiful little ideas that are
very different from my fingers' own habits, and probably wouldn't
have come up with myself. Now I'll have to copy you :) Very
refreshing!

Gene wrote a piece in the Orwell-9 scale, but I can't recall which
one . . . was it Trio?
